It was a great launch party! And yes, selling out at the launch I think must be very unusual.
It's a very unusual book, as anyone who's read Eustace in the Post will attest 
At the mini-meet last night, the barmaid saw my t-shirt ( I had a Hamster Flambe t-shirt made up for the event) and commented on how good it was!

Nice report Pastey. I could feel the pride and
excitement leaping off the page as I read,
wishing I could have been there too.
Of course Amazon.ca says I won't be seeing
my copy until the first week of May. 
They say anything good is worth waiting for.
And I'm certain this to be the case in this inst.

I get a lump in my throat, feeling like a proud mama - which at the same time feels oddly inappropriate. Neither spimcoot, Eustace or h2g2 are my children, so why do I feel this way?
Regardless, I feel proud. Happy. Sentimental. Very silly. Still grinning at the whole thing. Wishing I could have been there.

Oops, bit behind the times here but good write up Pastey! Almost feel like I was there.
Milla, Pastey delivered your kiss more than adequately; he seems not to have mentioned this nor posted the action shot. Keeping it for himself n'doubt but it was gratefully received.
Magwitch, I can only approve of making a brew, of whatever kind.
