hello
thank you for introducing that gem of Mumpsimus, I am not articulate and really rubbish at spelling but I do like a browse through dictionaries and journals
I liked the story, it tickled and touched a chord because actually I have a real problem with saying words and make up their sounds in my head and have to check quite a lot with how to say words that I know is right but have no idea how they sound, as if spelling wasn't hard enough
also with the stubborn streak
Your tidying made me laugh and your coughing didn't put me off
sorry if I have annoyed you with my spelling and all, and I do try, except, well, it is Sunday and it is time off on h2g2
and I just wanted to say thank you for the pleasure of my reading
*goes away now*
and
Camille

I took my daughter-in-law to see Camille O'Sullivan for her birthday last year. D-i-L's birthday, not Camille O`'Sullivan's. Neither of us knew exactly what to expect but it was the ideal evening out for a mother and daughter(-in-law) The theatre was sold out, and the audience seemed to be entirely made up of couples. Older couples. More men than I expected. She is very versatile and a great entertainer, and really engages with the crowd.
If your son goes on tour with her, let me know!

Glad you liked Camille!
My son tends to play for her only in Ireland. He has a contract with The Irish Chamber Orchestra which employs him only half-time but takes precedence over long tours abroad with other groups. Despite which he always seems to be travelling.

I thought that would be the case.
While she should be more well-known than she is, it would be a shame if she got so big that she filled Wembley. That just wouldn't work. I recommend everyone to look her up on Youtube.
I found out about her when she was interviewed on Woman's Hour, not long before she came to Germany. So I played the interview to my daughter-in-law in the car on the way to the concert. We had front-row seats!

She is a diva that will endure, I'd say. She has her own patch and she seems happy that it's a minority interest.
