RSPB Fen Drayton Lakes nature reserve in Cambridgeshire.
Seems to be Autumn to February that's best, though they've already moved on from the Cambridgeshire site.

Would also like to see a tidal bore but it looks as though it only happens on the Severn, not the Thames, so it'd mean a trip to Wales vicinity!
Need to find some natural phenomena in Buckinghamshire!
