This is just a central point for adding things that are going on in the year, as part of our drive to do 1 thing every month, because the year passes too quickly! We were using Facebook, but their removal of the Discussions option in their groups makes it difficult to organise events by month, I don't want to be creating a new event for every possibility.
We need a central place that everyone can view, so I'm experimenting with using H2G2 (thanks to the Guide Entry & linked Conversations being similar to FB groups of old), and Google calendars. The Google calendar is already making my brain hurt, so back to good old H2G2! It's a brilliant site.
If there's things we're definitely planning to visit, we can then create an Event on the FB Doin stuff group.
