Yup, it's here:

I feel sorely tempted to try it out *goes to luck for a trial version*

Hmmm... had a look at the forums, and there appears to be two sagas available at the moment, with a total gaming time of somewhere around 30 hours to play through all the 'chapters'.

'not sure I like this swapping from one main character to another, I prefer to be the one hero' (obviously the story line shifts focus from one character to another, and another). Not sure what to think of that, I usually grow quite fond of my (one at the time) characters.

Correction, it appears you play two of the main characters, but I'm not sure how much choice you have about which ones.

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

I've been trying to play it on Xbox 360, Ti. The combat system is really horribly complex (I think just for the sake of it, I'll get get me 'round it eventually) but it looks and feels really lush.

I may have it for quite some time (sorry, LoveFilm, but I will smiley - evilgrin)

Lush? Damn you Mags, I'm a sucker for pretty graphics!

OK, bought and downloaded it, but it seems rather demanding on my now... what?... 4 year old gaming computer? Had to hard reboot it before I got the game to stop crashing on me on the game loading screen.

But I do find it a bit odd that you can't choose which character you want to be. On my first one, at least. Just what *kind.

It's almost like something inbetween a film and a game, some things are already destined beforehand, regardless of your decisions.

Oh my, the second character is a tricky one - so many decisions to make.

Hmmmm... I wish there was a way to toggle walk/run and auto-walk/run. All this constantly running is sometimes making it difficult to catch all the details - you have to make very short rushes to see them.

Ah, Varys, Varys...

Should I pretend to be innocently unknowing, or admit to know a lot? Flatter him, or tell him exactly how I feel about him?

On the easiest level, I can't believe how many times my characters have died! At chapter 10, I keep saving after each and every fight, which is about every 4-5 minutes.

I like it that it's not *only hack-and-slash (although a lot of it is) but also that there is some strategy and puzzles involved.

You know a game is pretty new when...

...you google for details, and there aren't any. Am currently wondering what Ryman meant when he told Alester to remove 'that vile sigil'.

I know exactly what you mean. I spent so long playing old games that when I downloaded Skyrim on release date it was really weird not having that to turn to (mainly potion mixes).

Ah, finally Alester managed to please Queen Cersei so well that she called him 'my gallant knight' and gave him a Ring of the Lioness or some such - many save/load before I got the dialogue right.

Also noted how much difference the dialogue choices actually make. First attempt with Alester, he become very popular with the townsfolk, slightly less so by the nobility, and not at all with the guards.

Second attempt resulted in popular with some of the townsfolk, some of the nobility, and worshipped by the guards.

Hmmmm... might have to start taking notes about which combinations I've tried.

Oh, and some of the 'filmatic' scenes in the game make me cry - just as I cry when I watch emotion filled scenes in films smiley - wah

I think the production of the GoT game was very rushed. There are just soooo many discrepancies.

My latest irk is that the gate to the godswood from the Riverspring castle courtyard is wooden when you go out, but iron bars when you return. No wonder I got a bit lost there.

Not to mention that the subtitles differ every now and then from what the characters are saying (soundwise).

Still, I find myself quite fascinated by it.

And how time flies when I'm playing it - time ingame seems to move about half the speed of RL - at least. I look up, and several hours have gone by!smiley - yikes
