Mendel, the discoverer of modern genetics, might be a bit disappointed.. He made his discoveries from examining how peas reproduced.
Mind you, I agree with you on marrowfat peas - they were invented with one objective only. To torture children. Bleugh!

Err-ughhhhhh! Mushy peas are even more disgusting than ordinary ones. Plus they are a unappetising grey-green colour.

what about broccoli or caulifower now thats real torture particularly when cooked the traditional english way ie for an hour
