h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The reason I named it Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids is because it is a history of the band and I thought it would draw attention to the entry if some one saw it as the orginal name of the band. Also I saw everyone else put the name of the band and then band next to it as a title and I wanted to do somethign else. But instead of Twisted, how about different opinion, or different view. Cause it really is about how different things control our lives, and like the infamous stage show; How tv is our new god.

The thing is, you want as many people to read it as possible, do you not?? People should equate it with the current band...should they not? Anyway, it is your choice

If I can think of a better title then Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, I will switch it. I'm say put it to a vote.

Still think it should be called Marilyn Manson - the Band.

I mean, that's the name they have always recorded under...

I agree with Saturnine- Marilyn Manson-The Band would be a abetter description if, as you say, that has been the name they have been known as throughout their recording career. For example, i've done an entry on meatLaof. If I had given that the name of his early bands like Meat Loaf Soul or Stoney and Meatloaf it would have confused all but the big fans. i think that giving this a more explicit title would make it absolutely clear to the reader what the subject is, and won't ahve them thinking "Well, who the b******s are the spooky kids?

Meatloaf had other names?

Early on, before he was famous, he performed under his real name, marvin lee Aday, in bands called Meat Loaf Soul and Popcorn Blizzard, and released an album as part of a duo called "Stony and Meatloaf".

Oh,a nd he also has a bcking band called the "Neverland Express".

A863435 would be a better place to discuss the loaf, lets get back to Brian and the boys.

I'm glad somebody's taken this subject on. It's a good start, but it needs more. While this is a good discography of Marilyn Manson, it doesn't give the reader a picture of what the band is, what their message is, how their music sounds, etc.

Any article about Marilyn Manson *must* include the rumors - all of them - from Brian's sex life to surgical alterations to his current love. This, after all, is part of of the band's mystique, and what makes them so popular among the younger set. And definitely describe some of the more shocking videos, too.

OK OK, I give in. I'll change the name and add more to the artical. I'll put in some of the rumors but not all of them cause there is more than most people know and a lot of them get changed from another. I got some more Ideas I can put into it, but it will take me a bit cause of all the stuff I have to do. I'll post again when I think it is ready to take another analyzing.

That is a heck of a lot to put in just one article about Manson...hence why I have a few in the pipeline (as well as one here in Peer Review). I mean, writing about Manson, is like writing about Marilyn Monroe, or Elvis, or any other big name. So many aspects to it all...

Give Newt a break! He's done a damn good article for such a huge topic. I think there really needs to be separate articles...

Just like say excelent entry newt How about metioning how he created the name marylin mason & the reason for wearing odd contact lenses.If you dont know just give me a shout.I prefer mason & spooky kids, its what made me read it in the 1st place.
