I really don't recall, and anyway the last time we were there was about 10 years ago and it's been refurbished since.
However, there's a good possibility I'll be extremely close to it one day next week, so could pop in and look.

The building is old, I don't think it's fully accessable.

I appreciate the work that the team is doing. There may be places in the world where things are moving at cross purposes, but this is a genuinely caring place. I'm really proud of us. .

Thanks to the power of the Internet, a venue has been located with wheelchair access and facilities that is in Holborn and can accommodate us on Saturday 27 April 2019
Nearly but not quite entirely unlike Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, it is All Bar One at Kingsway, the Pub at the Beginning of the Meet http://www.allbarone.co.uk/national-search/london/all-bar-one-kingsway
If you time-travel back to 1999 and deposit £1 in the bank you could earn enough by compound interest to buy a drink! (The bar is near the London School of Economics - all the best economists do it )
Tables have been reserved for us 12noon-5pm.
I look forward to meeting you there!

I still haven't made up my mind if I'll be going. It looks fairly certain now that we federal contract workers are getting shafted, so I won't be getting my lost time/pay back.
“Democrats also pushed unsuccessfully to include a provision to provide back pay for federal contractors affected by the recent shutdown, which was not included in the final version of the legislation. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., told reporters Wednesday that Trump would not sign the measure into law if the provision were included.”
I haven't ruled it yet though.

I am so sorry, Baron Grim. This whole episode has been a disgraceful blotch on the country's escutcheon.
Now that we have a confirmed location, I can visit a travel agent and see if any places near there can be procured within a price range I'd be comfortable with.
Plus, I am a noted procrastinator. Well, I'd better get it done before April 26th!

If I do go, I'll probably find a place close by, but I was very tempted to book into the same hotel I stayed in in 1985 near Hyde Park. It was a very odd place. This was a school trip, of sorts. I had just graduated but it was organized by a tour company with schools across the country. The London hotel we stayed at was then called The Prince of Wales. My room had 5 beds and a view of a 4' by 4' shaft in the middle of the building (lots of pigeon poo). I was on the 4th floor (UK numbering) which had 100 rooms and one toilet! The floor rose and fell as the hotel was comprised of at least 5 adjoining buildings. Two girls (from California IIRC) got the best room. It was on the 5½th floor. You had to exit the building to a metal staircase going to this single room half a flight up. It was worse than any dorm I've ever been in. That said, the rooms on the ground and 1st floors were actually rather nice giving them their rating. I looked the place up on Google Maps a few years ago. It had changed names, but it was still there. My biggest regret then was I never walked across the road to Hyde Park for the 4½ days I was there. It wouldn't be a long tube trip to Holborn, but I'll probably just visit the bar on my way to or from Hyde Park if I go, and stay in Holborn.

Excellent work! Thanks all!
What is the procedure if I can make the date? Do I add my name to a list to book a space?
Venue sounds great! Thanks again!
