WOW! No comment yet... What a shame.
Great Entry, Ackalon!
Will be in the Edited Guide pretty soon, I guess. It would just be nice if some more peers reviewed it before a scout pushes the rec-button - you never know, maybe someone has a cool idea of something to include... Then again, I don't think this is probable.
Let's wait and see...

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Sep 19, 2002
You're absolutely right Hell - this is a cracking entry. It's a shame that every now and then a good one will slip through the net unnoticed, under the weight of all the others in Peer Review - both good *and*... not so good.
A few comments.
I think you'll probably have to lose the sentence about the Irish bashing each other's heads in - could be seen as inflammatory, even rascist. Either way, it's superfluous to the content.
'neccisary' => necessary ("One 'c'oat and two 's'hoes are necessary, as Mina pointed out to me once )
"Partly this was due...". I think 'This was partly due...' is more correct.
A brief explanation of why The Ehrenburg is a good example of palace architecture from the period would be good to read.
"...often has a market..." sounds a bit vague. Is the market held regularly, or just on a whim?
'dimentions' => dimensions
I'm not 100% sure on this, but the names of the grape varieties may need to be in italics Sylvaner, and without inverted commas.
There's also one first person reference which needs to be removed.
Hardly a major rewrite, but those are things which the sub-editor will have to take care of anyway, and it's always best to send an entry off to the sub-ed as polished as possible to save them any tedious work.
I've no doubt that this will find itself on the front page soon

Thanks for your comments / I should say enthusiastic support..
You will see I have taken them on board - couldnt find a link for gothic architecture though - maybe i'll give that some thought..
The Domina grape variety cries out for a link as well - funny that you should mention Mina .....

Well, whatever you did to the entry Ackalon, it seems to have brassed off a moderator, cos it's been hidden . As far as the architecture thing is concerned - it doesn't have to be anything too learned (that's the learn-id pronounciation of the word), just a brief description of what you mean by 'typical of the time'
Domina... Mina... Oh yeah

Well, that's one of the things that happen...
Maybe just a broken link or so.
I hope it's back ASAP.

A bit odd - seems that somebody got upset by two of the links - I can't understand why. Firstly the samba festival link - I have changed it so it goes to the start page and not directly to the photographs - But everyone leaps around in scanty costumes at carnivals - nothing unsuitable about that
and coburg.de ? whats wrong with that ?
I thought Mary Whitehouse was dead...

I think there's some guideline about only being allowed to link to english-language pages, but I am not sure - Maybe that's what caught your Entry.

How terribly inconvenient.
I suppose i could leave the addresses in but take the links out
rather annoying though.
How arrogant expecting the rest of the world to write in english..

I'm going to come back tomorrow and have a proper look, but I thought I'd let you know that URLs are URLs, whether or not they are hyperlinks, so the addresses will need to be removed. The entry might fail the Moderation process , and they will be removed before it goes in the Edited Guide anyway.

Thanks - shame though- I liked the pictures of the festival - gave a bit of atmosphere to what I was saying. As you probibly saw it got moderated once - Im beginning to think someone out there has got it in for me
Im also closing up - look forward to hearing what you have to say..

If you still want to give a hint to that link you can add a para like:
"There are pictures of the festival, that can be contemplated in the net, however most sites are non-English. One could try try a Google search with the following key words: '_______'."
Well, just a thought.

British needs a capital B.
Queen Victoria needs a capital Q.
"On top of the town hall stands a figure of a man from the sixteenth century holding up a fork with a Coburger Bratwurst on it, providing the dimensions that they have been made to ever since."
I don't know what he's holding up, some sort of food I guess, but I'm not clear...
Other than that, it's very interesting. I look forward to seeing it in the Edited Guide.

Very nice entry!
I always cringe before reading an entry about a place because of the large number of 'my town sux' entries.
Not only isn't this in that style, it's wonderful!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

See? I knew it would not take long before a scout pushes the button.
Thanks for this Entry, Ackalon.

Indeed, this one was brilliant!
As you've probably already noticed, this one is off for editing with one of our wonderful h2g2 Sub-editors. You're on you way to inclusion into the Edited Guide.
Congratulations again!!
