A brief guide to czech beer

Ofcourse there is good stuff and bad stuff. In my opinion the top brands are Pilsner urquell,Gambrinus, radagast and Krusovice.Staropramen tends to upset the stomach. There are hundreds of varieties and some are confined to small areas such as the excellent krakonos, only found around Trutnov, and primator{slightly sweet)brewed in Nachod, close to where I am.
Now price is where drinking beer in czech really comes into its own.In the provinces in a local pub you can expect to pay about 15K for half a liter, thats about 30english pence. In Prague you can pay alot more if your a bit goofy and like hanging out in tourist swamps.I drink an excellent Primator 10 in Nachod for 10k or 20 english pence. So good drinking chaps!
