Slobbing Out

To slob out you must:
Take your time in response to any summons to do anything energetic about the house
Endeavour to leave footwear, socks etc in a general state of confusion
Leave room in total mess which cannot be tidied up because there are VITAL THINGS WHICH CAN'T BE MOVED in there.
For a full slob-out you should give the impression you are engaged in something REALLY IMPORTANT (so carry a book or a pen around at all times).
This advice was given to me by my former Latin teacher, who retired in July (2002).
Slobbing out is an art, and as such must be perfected over a period of time, which is why the great slobmasters are all over the age of sixty.
