I don't know...Bylton is a bit boring TBH

Hey didn't we all apart from perhaps me, I re read some of the books to write this and found them incredably boring. Can't think why I liked them all those years ago!

I still like them-and when I have children It will be a delight to me to pass on these stories.
I don't think they are boring either-I think they are just right for the age they are meant for, and I feel in this day and age a return to innocence is much called for-I'd rather children read Enid Blyton than were exposed to the 'sexiness' of pop-groups (I don't agree with little girls wearing make-up and going rounds dressed like s)

Maybe it's different if you're reading them to a child because you can see there enjoyment of them..

I think Blyton books are too innocent... they hide children from the truth at times and as said kinda promote that little girls are naff (sept George) and Teenage girl are obbessed with hockey (I hate Hockey and I'm Teenage girl)

yes but they're not read by teenage girls are they? they're read by under 10s mainly who want to read about teenage girls...
