is it possible to put your own piece up for review?

Yes it is, and it's the *usual* thing because how on Earth should anyone else find out that you're finished writing it?
Anyway, there's a knack to recomming entries for the Edited part of the Guide (which is what Peer Review is dealing with): there are Writing-Guidelines in place, and there's mention of them on the screen that follows the 'submit for review' button. I think you've missed that part
I'd suggest you read them and see what there is to do with your entry.

That's a shame. In looking down the list of entries in Peer Review, I clicked on yours because I wanted to know what Human Geography is - would you consider researching the topic a little more and posting it back here when it meets the Writing Guidelines?

Super!
Well, you say that 'Human Geography is about everything you can think of...' but you don't say what it is about. You could divide it up into chunks and deal with them one by one. (I'd suggest topics, but I don't know anything about human geography). And I wonder whether Globalisation is worthy of it's own entry?

If you go to the PeerReview list (click on 'Click here to see more Guide Entries' if you can't see yours) and you should see a 'Remove' link at the end of the line.

Have changed it: How's this for a start?

Thank you! Re-reading the old one makes me see how much I have actually progressed in writing, but also how pants that actually was! THe next bit may require more research to get conclusive statements about things....

I think your writing style is good, it's just a question of stating the bleedin' obvious sometimes! I heard a really good piece of advice about beginning to write - write as if you were addressing a child, that way you're bound to explain it in an easily understandable and clear way.

That's good advice, because sometimes, if you assume that people know something, and they miss it!
Speaking of which, is there anything I've neglected to explain?

Dear FwT,
I'm not sure if there's anything missing because I'm not familiar enough with the subject! It might be worth going into more detail about human geography, because in a couple of sentences, you've said what it's not (ie sociology or phyiscal geography) and you've given a good, very basic definition of what it is. Perhaps you should go into more detail? Explanations of each of the sub-sections would help, too (urban/rural, population etc). What impact do human geography studies have on policies of governments? Examples are always good...
Anyway, have a good weekend

Am going to go into more detail, but I've been a bit busy : I'm going away for a fortnight on sunday, and work tomorrow, so will do it when i get back...
