Great report BadZen! And a pleasant afternoon/evening it was too. Part two will be just as good, knowing the pubs we'll be going to. Hopefully TF will attend this time.

Ahh... that lovely thick cloudy Coopers. Mmmmmmmmmm.

You Aussies drink cloudy beer? smiley - erm I suppose that's one way of putting roughage in one's diet and could account for some of the holes in the ozone layer over the Southern Hemisphere...smiley - run

Wowbagger

We don't usually. Pilsners and Bitter Ales are Australia's normal fare.
Cooper's is pretty unique in that it has a cloudy appearance (unless we start talking about those lovely dark stouts Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm)

... hmm. I seem to have lost my train of thought there... smiley - winkeye

Oh hello smiley - biggrin

Yes it is rather a fine towel, isn't it?

Coopers is cloudy because it is bottle fermented - so, like a homebrew, you get to drink all the good yeasty vitamin B stuff (it's also the stuff they make vegemite out of just to add a bit of aussie trivia)! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm smiley - tongueout

What????smiley - yikes

*Spills her smiley - stiffdrink in shock*

They use Coopers dregs to make Vegemite? No wonder I used to get hangovers when I ate the odd jar or two! smiley - wow

*Snatches BadZen's towel and uses it to wipe her spilled smiley - stiffdrink and returns it, dripping to it's owner's neck*

Chris's school asked him what food he'd like for his birthday party that they were giving him and he asked for Marmite sandwiches! smiley - laugh

BadZen

Well strictly speaking it would have to be the by-product of other beers, since all the good stuff stays in coopers for us to drink!
