Fine, thanks! There are few pleasures in sport to beat seeing your team's local rivals humiliated by a bunch of part-time players in the FA Cup!
Aidan has been duly welcomed into PUDDING's home for malevolent moggies.

I'd forgive you more if you'd been watching rugby. Don't you know that football is a game for wusses?
Honestly. FA cup indeed.... Sassnfrassn football sassnfrassn.

Perhaps I should invite the members of my *other* h2g2 club to pay you a visit, Snailrind? You'll find it here: A243677.

Okay, look. I admit that, on the rare occasions when I actually watch football, I experience a sneaking enjoyment . But you have to understand that I am Welsh. And that rugby is actually more interesting to watch than football.

'...rugby is actually more interesting to watch than football.'
This, I feel, may be true if you're particularly fond of large ugly macho men and gratuitous, mindless violence. In which case, far be it from me to be judgemental.

We call soccer here in Oz. 'Football' is another game entirely here, which I don't enjoy at all. I like cricket (though don't watch it nearly as much as I did as a teenager), now there's a game you can grumble about. Especially when it drags on, and on, and on, and on. Of course, my team keeps winning all the time, perhaps that's taken some of the excitement out of it.

I love Aussie Rules footie, when I was over there I loved watching the Footie Show, especially that guy who loses his temper every week. How about adding him to the honorary list, if anyone can help me out with his name?

Don't know his name, sorry--but you've reminded me that I want to nominate Eric Cartman from South Park, and Jade Goody from the British version of Big Brother. Neither of them ever mince their words and I'm an ardent admirer of them both!

I don't watch 'The Footy Show' because I hate football, however I think I know who your talking about. You said Aussie rules, so I assume you mean the Melbourne Footy show, not Sydney?
Could the guy be Sam Newman? Tall guy, sarcastic, does the 'street talk' segment.

Snailrind, Cartman has duly been given all the authority accorded to a Hero of P.U.D.D.I.N.G..
I draw the line at Ms Goody, though. Nothing brings out the grumpy old man in me faster than reality TV. A pox on it and all the talent-free, witless 'celebrities' it excretes!

GRRAAARRGH! to everyone.
Except Ormondroyd, who, despite having atrocious taste in team sports, is now in my good books.

Ahhh, you have obviously heard of Sam Newman.
I really don't think we should put him on the heros list. He may be nasty, but that doesn't necessarily qualify him.

Yay! England won the big egg-chasing contest!
Now on to the important game of the day: Stoke City v Bradford City.
