Right, I'd like to sign up. I'm in a really bad mood at the moment. I'm liable to be in only a fairly bad mood tomorrow.
*raises right hand*
I solemnly swear that if ever find myself in a stupidly chirpy and optimistic frame of mind I will on no account come here and tell anyone about it.

An excellent pledge, Trin. And may I say how much I like the slogan on your page: 'Quit while you're behind, they'll never notice'. That's the spirit!
You have the distinction of being the first new recruit to go straight on to our brand new, immensely long, drop-down members' list. Welcome to P.U.D.D.I.N.G.!

Perhaps I should. The members' list was just getting ridiculously long - I'm sure we now have the longest drop-down list on h2g2! The heroes and enemies lists are less huge and sprawling, but drop-down lists would be neater, and it'd be easier to find your hero/pet hate.
OK, I'll get on to it.

I will be very if you do!, them drop down thingys is small an annoyin...an what about the footnotes...........yes......I know...... no-one reads them. BUT i do an they almost made my face do strange things

Excellent - an argument within P.U.D.D.I.N.G.! That means we can get grumpy *at each other*!
Just to stir things up further, here's a third option: don't go for drop-down lists, but put the existing heroes and enemies lists into alphabetical order, so it's easier to find your favourites/pet hates. What do you think?

I like the higgiody-piggildy, neat straight lines are for those bright cheery bouncy types that tend to say 'Turn that frown upside down' all the while staightenin an dustin your pictures.............
I have to admit though, I do like the smiley

If the Heroes and Enemies lists were alphabetical, they'd still look higgledy-piggledy simply because the names are different lengths. But the lists would be more user-friendly.

Ormondroyd, wait, saw you passing through just then...oh you've gone.
Ok, well, I wanted to be a portion of pudding. This is not because I am constantly grumpy, it's because I agree that we shouldn't always have to smile at everyone, regardless of our mood, and especially in the mornings.
What d'you think - will I fit in?
Jules

Of course you can join, JulesK. I've added you to the drop-down list of members. Welcome on board!
I like the pigeon on your Personal Space. Are you a Northerner like me, by any chance?

Thanks. If it wasn't the morning I might feel better about that.
So do I get some kind of badge?
I've just realised that I may yes have been subconsciously drawn to choose the pigeon due to Northern tendencies...and I thought I just liked the way it moved!
I'm a Yorkshire Pudding by birth, so actually I suppose I HAD to be a member of P.U.D.D.I.N.G. one way or another.

You can certainly have a P.U.D.D.I.N.G. badge, Jules - and a banner, if you like, just like the ones on the club page. The relevant blob numbers are <./>B4882583</.> for the badges, and <./>B4882590</.> for the banners.
As you're a Yorkshire lass, have you visited The Flat Cap & Muffler Sports & Social Club (Affiliated)? If not, it's on A732458. It's where all of us northern English folk on h2g2 gather for a of virtual Tetley's and a natter about us whippets. You'll be very welcome there, especially if you tell t'committee about your virtual pigeon.
And from time to time we have a RL get-together!

Ah, Sir Alex. No wonder he and Roy Keane get on so well - they clearly have such similar temperaments.
Welcome on board, creachy!
