My main question about this entry is: should I provide some examples? I can write up some samples of introductions and conclusions, and ways that two paragraphs can be connected, or I can pull them out of essays I've already written. Otherwise, feel free to pick apart my writing.

Yes, a few short examples would come in handy.
As to the introduction, IMHO a well-placed quote from a movie or some other source related to the subject matter is always a good thing. See the intro to A673508 for example
