As I explained in post #20 the shallower rays of light coming through the atmosphere make Sunburn less likely in TDf than in the tropics. Do any of my peers thinks this needs to be mentioned in A694668

I do.
I also think the article is very good.
However, I would like to see a little more about modern Tierra de Fuego if there's anything you can add.

"From Punta Arenas at Latitude 53.9º S. Longitude 70º.55' W to
Cape Horn, Latitude 57º.48' S. Longitude 67°19´ W where the ocean is renowned for its fits of bad weather" - I'd say you can lose the 'where' in that bit.
A question - are the native americans still extant, or have they been wiped out by European guns and diseases? And, in fact, I'd be interested in finding out exactly who lives there now, and what they do for a living.

Shagbark,
I'm ready to accept this now, but do you want to come back to Number Six's comment above or are you happy for it to go in?
Cheers.

I really don't think I want to say anything about ozone depletion. I added a sentence in Modern Day Ushuaia to say that the native language is spanish. Anyone (like six) who wants more information should be able to get it from the links. I'm ready for it to go in.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Sorry to spoil the party mood - but I disagree wholeheartedly with "Anyone who wants more information should be able to get it from the links" - personally, if it was possible to include it in the Entry, I'd much rather be able to find out a little basic information without having to leave h2g2. Certainly in a comparatively short entry.
But that's just my .

Good things come to those who wait.
A great article about a place I'd heard about but of which I didn't know anything. Glad to be able to pick it.
