Hi there!
Thanks for the invite!
(could I just have a choice between some fairly famous ones? Rock isn't my strong point...

Hi thanks for coming!
I know most of these are old fogey songs for you but hopefully it'll still be fun!
Harvey chooses "Moondance" by Van Morrison vs. "Walk this way" by Aerosmith for you!
Thanks again!

caper_plip Posted Jan 24, 2002
Ooh... I'm going for Moon Dance my Van Morrison. Walk this Way is okay, but a little over the top for my taste...

elwood Posted Jan 24, 2002
Yeah I could go for an entire tournament of Van Morrison songs!
Thanks for participating! Please let me know if you could do another.

Ready for another!

Speaking of Elvis.....
The other person in myt department at work is retiring
two days before Valentine's Day. She's always been a
BIG Elvis fan, so we're planning to play Elvis songs
during her party.
I'm rather partial to the film "Blue Hawaii," in which
Elvis sang "Can't Help Falling in Love With You"
(a gorgeous song! ) for the first time. There are a couple
of new books out about Elvis, and they're supposed
to be excellent. Wish I had time to read them .

My mother-in-law is an Elvis addict she has every song, movie, book...
It makes it easy at Christmastime if I'm stuck for a present for her because there is always some new Elvis thing out!

At least we weren't permanently lost!
Wow big surprise I thought Elton was a god in England!
Well the quirky Americans move on to the next round!
Thanks for helping!

You'll notice that I had no problems choosing George in the first round!
And I'm glad to see that you've got *some* taste...

Speaking of Talking Heads.....
I saw a concert video they did called
"Stop making Sense."
(or maybe it was "talking" sense)
I enjoyed it a lot, but I don't remember any of the songs.
My problem is that I enjoy a lot of rock videos, but never
remember the songs because I wouldn't have the patience
to buy audios of the music and listen to them enough to
get familiar with the music. I remember one or two songs
from "Flashdance," "Footloose," and "The Rose," mainly
because I keeping hearing the hits from those films
in the supermarkets.....
I'm ready for an assignment!

Songs on the soundtrack to Stop Making Sense:
Psycho Killer
Swamp
Slippery People
Burning Down the House
Girlfriend Is Better
Once in a Lifetime
What a Day That Was
