Smutty commments?! We wouldn't dare!
Sorting you with a tent.... Depends on many things
Money - if you are prepared to spend around £40 you can get a 2 person tent, which will comfortably fit you (alone) and all your stuff. Lots of places will be selling stuff off at the end of season by September, I got mine cheap last year
Spare Tents - I have one and will be bringing it (or Pegasus will have to provided she has a car by next month...), but I have already offered the use of it to someone else. Anyone else have a spare they could bung in their car?
Generosity of Mates - a) do you know anyone who has a tent you can borrow for the weekend? Or b) there may be someone coming who will be able to arrange a tent share with you. I know last year there were several people offering this as an option... I'm sure we can sort something out this year too

A tent shop?
I can't think of anyone I know who has a tent I could borrow. And I really don't want to fork out £40 for a tent I'm rarely (if ever) going to use other than for RAT.
So I'm hoping there'll be a space in someone elses...

Will speak to the potential tenant of my spare tent. I'm unsure if she will be coming, if she does she could share mine, or possibly she will have her own by then. If any of those turn out to be the case & you can't find anthying else in the meantime... I will let you know as soon as poss.

Well yes, but there are NO tent shops in widnes, or runcorn for that matter.
Do you think they sell then near the destination? or will they be expensive?

Argos is your best bet then, there is one in Widnes right? It seems they have a 2 man dome tent for £26.96 bargain! (am I allowed to tell you that on the beeb?)

Alternatively you could try looking somewhere on line, possibly at one of these....

Sightings of 2 person dome tents going for (think it was) £15 in woollies this week. Don't know what sort of quality they are, perhaps not the most reliable in a heavy downpour, but I didn't see them, so they may be great. If you are on a budget & thinking of getting one, it may be worth a look...

I got a two maned tent (probly suitable for one and a half) so if someone is lacking a bed for the night... Just ask.

there is a much greater chance of me comming now.
I just have to work out how to get there from runcorn, and maybe find a sleeping bag.

Have you looked at the trainline site? - http://www.thetrainline.com/default.asp?href=&T2ID=8337_200238172952 - I just did & You can get there for £12.10 (saver return), in just over an hour. Change at Manchester Piccadilly (I might even bump in to you at the station). Trains seem quite regular on both the Friday & on Sundays .
Right, now about this sleeping bag... Places like Argos or any camping shop should do the trick (I can direct you to one in Manchester on your way through if that will be of any help ).

Oh and maybe we should arrange to all meet the other end at Stoke station? (I think there's a pub??? )

They serve beer in the Lemon Tree café, although it is at an extortionate price! - I'd save your squids for the Star! (but there I'd drink bottled beers )
