A Conversation for 360 - Changing the World by Degrees
Films and the memorial mind

I happen to think that films are a great way of getting people to remember things, and as an educational tool they're great. How often have we been down the pub and quoted something from a film? Most films have morals that we remember. Usually we don't realise that they are there I admit, but mostly we feel better for them. The so called "Feel Good Factor".
The other good thing about film is that it doesn't actually require an active participation, you can just sit back and relax, and for a couple of hundred minutes you can forget your own troubles and worries as the hero tackles the baddy. Good always wins and the hero always gets the girl.
Unfortunatly real life may not be like that, but the more people that realise that it can be, the more that might want it to be.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
