I'm not really here

But I'm not sure I like being quoted without a reference.
I'd also quite like to know who you are.

Sorry about that. I'll add you as a researcher.

What do you think the general policy on crediting researchers should be? Add a reference in the entry or add to the researcher list? I'm beginning to think the latter as it's more in-line with the edited guide...

As for who I am, I thought I'd stay anonymous for a while, in case no one likes the idea smiley - smiley) - but don't worry I'm someone nice!

I personally would prefer not to be an added researcher, but have my name on a quote. As I'm not involved in writing the entry in anyway. I've got a bit of a thing about being added to entries I didn't write. Sorry about that.

Of course you are someone nice. Everyone's someone nice. smiley - biggrin

Although I might change my name. (I'm fickle like that.) You can leave it on, but I'd appreciate it if you told me when you used something I said. I get a lot of entries on my page, so I can't always be sure to see it.

Okay. I was just using the colds question as an example, didn't mean to pick on you! smiley - smiley I'm more than happy to give credit though, I'll see if I can work out a good way to give credit in the entry, and then add that to the RFC.

smiley - ok

And when I said 'name' I meant 'mind'. Which is slightly spooky as I went and changed my name 6 hours later... Must have been on my mind. smiley - smiley
It's ok, I didn't mind you picking on me, but I was rather proud of that advice, and wanted to be acknowledged. If I say daft things then I'm happy to go unremarked.

That's okay. I wanted to give Researchers credit, just wasn't sure the best way of doing it. What about the people I only used one line of?

What about a list at the bottom of everyone that you've used? You are right, it's probably better to add them as reasearchers if you want to get these into the Edited Guide.

Then we have the old problem of not knowing who said what... Can I point you both to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F81366?thread=157178 for this discussion?
