I read a really cool X-Files Highlander cross over which also managed to get in a scean with inspector morse that was so well integrated that i didnt notice till five minutes later. Dead impressed I was. And they actually managed to suprise me at the end. Skinner was a very old immortal and noone figured it out cos he;d been staying well clear. Scully was less than impressed when mulder got shot through the head and survived so she will be even more unimpressed when she finds out that skinner is going to be mulders teacher.

Thanks to the joys of rental video we've seen the next two episodes from the current one, you know, up to the one with the robot girlfriend who was like Anya in a sort of cross between Anya and Dawn body and Dawn's haircut. Although of course you've not seen it so you don't know what she looks like. Very good job of it by the actress I have to say...

Next week's Buffy is going to be good - I so want to see Angel Season Two!!!!!!

I've read the transcript so I know what happens. What does the guy who make the robot look like and is he a good actor. This is going to be imprtant later.

I want Angel series 2 too. I also want series three. I'm trying to read the transcripts but it's really hard because everyone changes so much in angel and the scripts is very different from buffy so it's much harder to follow. or maybe thats because i am just too tuned into Xander Speak.

Ellie must have cheated on her theory, but I bet she'll have forgotten it all in a month. is she having driving lessons at uni?

Which buffy is next week. ahve you seen an episode called the Body yet. You'd know it if you have. Or maybe its after the robot girlfriend one. I think it kind of marks the beginning of the end of buffyland as we know it. up to where i have read on season six things are just not the same. much darker and more intense. Makes the whole angelous thing look like nothing and remember how much we cheered when angel tried to fry himself at dawn and then it snowed. hard to belive we een cared now. Poor Spike.

Oh, and didnt you love that box of chocolates of spikes that he's been carrrying around for weeks. The first real proof that vampires an eat chocolate that i rememebr. although he did drink the hot chocolate buffys mum made him once. in all the fanfic he moans about the fact that vampires cant live on just chocolate because he preferes it to blood.

Got to have lunch at 11.45 today. I hate being on the early shift. Mind you, I get out of things becuase of the museum and then i was sick on sodit and wimpy so i have done too badly this time around.

Dont know what to do today, normally i go for a walk with hazelnut but she's not lunching till 13.00.


probabkly just read a book. got xander years vol 1 and an angel novel out the library. yes, the addiction is getting worse.

had some really good ideas for my story, even though it hasnt grown much. there was also a really good line in a fanfic which was something about "the council had given orders that if he was ever turned he was to be dusted before he revieved. too much latent power. no one would be able to stop him." and they were talking about Xander.

Mum's Christmas present came today but there was nobody to answer the door (we were all asleep, they came too early!) so all I got was a card through the door instead

I was watching episodes 3 and 4 of "Enterprise" actually, then I went on the internet to see if I had any interesting e-mail and to see if there were any interesting people online for me to talk to. As it happens, there were, so we got talking and I got h2g2ing.

so is enterprise good?

Enterprise is okay, but the pilot episode doesn't live up to expectations, and the title song is the most horrendous thing ever. Well, almost. And totally inappropriate. And performed by Russell Watson.

It's weird with Scott Bakula as Captain Archer, 'cos as Luke put it, I keep expecting Al to turn up and tell him what he's meant to be doing... although he is a fairly good choice for the role, more of a Kirk-like Captain, although stunningly enough he hasn't punched anybody yet! He's shot a few people though. They've only just got the first "phase pistols" which are the earliest kind of phaser, hence Archer's comment after shooting someone "Well, stun works."

The ship itself is quite nice. Ensign Hoshi Sato, the comm officer, gets to babble nonsense quite a lot because she's the ship's exolinguist, so has the joy of learning alien languages all the time - the universal translator isn't very good. She speaks near-perfect Vulcan, and Archer entices her on to the first mission by playing Klingon to her and telling her some technical details about the language which almost set her to drooling... strange character. In episode three she has to ask to swap quarters with somebody because she's on the starboard side, but on her two previous voyages she's had portside quarters and the stars are going the wrong way!

Oh yes, Archer has a dog living in his quarters. T'Pol doesn't like him, which Archer and Trip (the engineer) seem to find rather amusing. Trip doesn't trust Vulcans, and Archer thinks they hold too much back - the Vulcans say they're just making sure the humans are ready before giving them more knowledge.

T'Pol is a good character, well played, but unfortunately she's been put in an almost catsuit so takes the role of Seven of Nine. Except she's a Vulcan rather than a former Borg.

The ship's maximum speed is warp 5 - it's the fastest human ship in existence.

Everybody's afraid of using the transporter, which is quite funny.

The armoury officer has a perfect english accent.

The torpedoes actually look like ICBMs and don't seem to have anti-matter warheads or anything.

First contact with the Klingons was a bit of a non-event really, which is a shame. Hoshi wouldn't even translate what one Klingon yelled in Archer's face, because she said he wouldn't want to know. But I wanted to know!!!

They don't have shields, they have to polarise the hull plating, whatever that means. And they get shot up pretty easily.

It is interesting to watch though. Episode four is the best one I've seen so far and is actually quite scary. You can watch them over Christmas.
