Yeah. Would be interesting to see a bit more about the Shadow Proclamation. It got quite a mention.

Now we need some "Tennant as a deer" fan-art.

>>>Shadow Proclamation = Doctor Who's An Impala
Or, alternatively
Shadow Proclamation = M. Palin as a Doctor Who
Which would probably end up a little like this...

Shadow Proclamation = Chairwoman sold a top
I think that tells us all where RTD is going with this season...

"I thought that he said something about The Doctor being her father."
Donna isn't his daughter... However we do meet someone else later in the series...

Has anyone been watching the William Hartnell 'Daleks' series of Dr Who on BBC4? At first it just seemed dated, but it's really grown on me. Once I got past the budget limitations and dodgy effects, it's really quite gripping.

Fascinating update: We still have the Button Moon poster up, five years on...it moved offices with us to White City. I got it as a morale-booster when we were in a strange corridor somewhere, but I was distraught to discover Ashley hated it!

I've not been watching it on TV, but I have the DVD. Episode 1 cliffhanger is a classic (menaced by a plunger)! (As is Ep 1 cliffhanger of 'Dalek Invasion of Earth' - Dalek rising out of the Thames (remember that viewers had no clue the Daleks would be returning in those pre-Internet, pre-onscreen-story-title days).

Am glad they established there will be no romance between the doctor and Donna nice and early on in the series.
I thought it was a bit silly, but hope it'll get better.

>I'm reading the Shadow Proclamation as a kind-of galactic UN, every time they've been mentioned, it's been with regard to the laws of the universe.
Well, a proclamation is a statement so I suspect it's more of a galactic law; something many different races have signed-up to. I'm not sure its being mentioned is especially-relevant. It seemed to have been thrown-into "Rose" in 2005 as something to threaten the Nestene with and its re-appearance might just be more about consistency than anything else.
I've not really spotted any signs of a new plot arc yet. Whilst I think the introduction of plot arcs each series is one of the very positive things RTD has introduced he's yet to actually give us a good one. 2005's "Bad Wolf" generated the amount of buzz and internet-discussion it was clearly supposed to and yet it turned-out to be a damp squib in the reveal; meanwhile 2006's "Torchwood" was knackered by being revealed from the outset and 2007's "Mr Saxon" was saddled with the problem with most people working out/hearing about who it was very early on.
Key: Complain about this post
