there can be no doubt that discretion is indeed the better part of valour, but surely not the only part. some threats can not be escaped by running away and and some battles are worth fighting. please dont confuse martial arts with senseless violence, remember the words of master funakoshi: "the true aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat but in the perfection of the character of its participants."
