I tried to read the Variety article, but apparently you have to pay. What's the world coming to?
Well it certainly not my favourite Pratchett novel, but it may open the door for further movies, I suppose.

Not sure what it would do for Discworld to be introduced through the "young adult" book-- Oh Narnia... I see...

It was very okay.
Wish they'd credit the main character/actor as starring in first these type of things instead of the 'names' though.

It was resonable. Though I don't like the way they rewrote it so that Johnny is the one that was never born instead of Wobbler.

Is it the first or second book? Wasn't there 'Johnny and the Dead' as well?

Geggs Posted Jan 17, 2006
It's the third book, I think.
The first Johnny book was "Only you can save mankind", then "Johnny and the dead", and then "...the bomb".

According to my sources (yeah, so you've all got the same sources, so what?) the next book, after Wintersmith, will be another Moist von Ligwig book, in which he gets a license to print money. Really. Sounds like it involves the introduction of paper money to Anhk-Morpork.

Appartently not. Not entire sure what he would do with the football team, to be honest. There would have to be other teams around for them to play, I guess. And therefore some examination of football culture. No obvious plot springs to mind, though. Apart from 'Escape to Victory', of course.

Seemingly. There's something very odd about that though as the thing says that he hasn't posted since Oct 2004, which is clearly wrong, and he appears to be subscribed to messages left to his friend Terri even though they were only sent to her a few days ago.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
