I don't think we can let 2Legs be the benchmark. He does things differently, which is fine because he almost always comes up with some delightful stuff. But we can't all be like him .

I dropped out of school far too early. I met environmental things, then chemistry, physics, just approached quantum ...

But as I understand it, none of the schools in Canada teach 2legs'ian ...

Which may actually be a good thing.

There were so many tasks involved, and it would have been hard for any of us to not find something we could do. Many hands make light work, that sort of thing.

Anyone have any idea what the "vogons.h2g2.com" url was about last night?

I tried to sign in the small hours and got that in the url bar but was unable to sign in.

Seems to be okay now, though the "vogons." came up initially on the url bar when I signed in this time, then went over to a simple "h2g2.com".

That's the URL of our "verification server". I'm disturbed that it seems to have been down overnight; I reported problems just after 9am and thought they had just started.

The problem was down to a conflict of caching systems and should be sorted out now.

Things are so complicated now, it's a wonder anything works. I can't get over the way I can open gmail several times simultaneously and not trigger a crash.

Let's not say that too loudly, though.
