I would have thought this an obvious observation:


Hootoo is an online community, freely available to everyone with internet access. The only reason we should be having to say farewell to anyone is either because they have chosen to leave the community or they have found themselves in a region without internet access -- a job change or a move shouldn't force a departure from the community. Is there no internet access in Salford? Or has Chris just decided to leave us.

RJR (still the living proof)

Salford Quays (I refuse to call it Salford until they pump the same money into the run down council estates as the have the Quays) is a lovely place, and the new Media City is a truely fantastic building. It's not just the BBC that are moving into it, but a lot of smaller design/digital agencies and even some students (to give them more of a "real working life" education) from Salford Uni, who're going really out of their way to help and educate people.

The Quays are just a short tram ride (Media City has it's own (mostly working) tram line now too) from Manchester itself, and this is a *great* town!

Chirs, I hope you don't regret the move to the Quays and Manchester, and I wish you luck on what ever project the BBC put you on. Also, if you don't know Manchester yet and want a tour of the bars, then I'm sure I can round up some of the more "sociable" hootooers to show you around.
