I completely agree with you, Santragenius. And in a small way, I think this argument illustrates the point. I'm sorry I upset Abi, and I will be sending her another, more concilatory e-mail. But if no-one complained about what is a very clumsy and unsatisfactory moderation system, would anything be done about it?

So, just to recap, any entries that are moderated have an automatic email sent immediately to the address of the creator of that entry (U54963 'the h2g2 Post team' in this case). If the creator (or anyone else with a personal interest in the entry) wants to make sure that their entry is visible at all times, they must either sit on that page all day refreshing every 5 seconds, or keep a constant watch on their email - neither of which is really practicable.
Moderation applies to *all* entries, and h2g2 Post entries have to be treated in exactly the same way as all the others, especially at this extremely sensitive time. I'm sure everyone appreciates that.
