Well, I might agree with parts of it (you think I'm gonna tell you which parts? )but overall it seems a little harsh.

I thought it was funny, though as an in-joke one that I'd not have used on a page for newbies. Monty Python it ain't, but it amused me, anyway

If I say that I don't have time to comment on this "highly insulting" alleged joke because I have so many important things to do, will it be evidence against that characterization?

Funny that we're described as "lefties." I wouldn't have thought that the political spectrum applied to our disagreements with the Italics. It's almost insulting to the Italics, implying that they're moderate/right wing. But maybe that's just my view of left as more democratic and moderate/right as less and less democratic.

I would say that the split is more on the libertarian/authoritarian axis than being left or right wing.

I would definately not class myself as a lefty (other than being left handed).

Yeah, that's what rubbed me, too... the SBVM is nothing political.
