I read the same story about the BBC and await with baited breath if we are headed for the chop. It would be a crying shame as the people who began writing ten years ago are now polished authors and hopefully the BBC will see that they have a source of material they wouldn't get elsewhere from volunteers.

Currently, the Times is just speculating.

We'll be informed if there is something concrete TPTB can talk about, no doubt.

Just to weigh in against the panic, I believe what we went through a few months back was to decide what would stay and what would go. I think remarkably we are part of the longer term plans - which suggests there are larger changes for hootoo on the horizon.

I'd like to know which websites didn't pass the MOT. Does anybody know? Has it been published somewhere?

I think its fair to say that pretty much any site that hasn't been part of the BBC Id process is on its way...

Good point. Would they have bothered switching sites that weren't staying?
