Wantage and Grove

1 Conversation

Wantage is a small pleasant town in mid to south Oxfordshire, it is the birthplace of King Alfred, and it doesn't hesitate to sow its pride about it.

Places to Eat

The eating places are a vital piece of knowledge about any town, and Wantage is no exception. The Best places to eat are The Lamb and The Lord Nelson, there are other places to eat, mostly the Pubs dotted around the town and The Bear Hotel

The two Supermarkets in Wantage are a small Waitrose and a largish (soon to be extended) Sainsburys

Next to Wantage is an incredibly large village called Grove, slightly larger than Wantage, it is one of the biggest villages in the UK,and the only thing that stops it from being a town is that it is very near to Wantage and hasn't had any famous kings born there.
