Chicago's about the same as ever. I manage to stay out of trouble.
It's good to see you around again. There weren't that many of us from the Central US to begin with, comparatively speaking. I miss seeing Hypatia around, too.
How are things with you? Are you ready for the big heat wave this weekend (IIRC you're near enough to Chicago to be having similar weather)?

Yeah, I'm in St Louis metro, supposed to be 95 Saturday. Going to try to get some pool time in, but having a birthday party in the evening for my oldest who turned 21 yesterday.
Wish I had more time to check in more often (really, I wish I had the time to do more writing!). But it's nice to pop in occasionally and see some familiar monikers.
I see Hyp quite regularly on Facebook. I keep in touch with several people there, but it's just not the same

I keep in touch with several people I know from h2g2 on Facebook as well. No, it's not the same thing - on Facebook, I can limit contact and content to people I really know and trust; on h2g2, though, I have always enjoyed being exposed to a wide world of people and lots of different topics and perspectives.
Wish I had more time to read all of the Entries that the Guide Editors publish every week! Our Researchers write on so many diverse topics. I don't admit it very often on here, but I actually don't enjoy writing *at all*. I'm more of a reader - and there's plenty of material here for me.
I can't believe that your oldest is turning 21! Where does the time go?
