Are you asking for a seahorse smiley? That was one of the suggestions on the old smiley request list A651935 before it was closed and pruned.

Every so often there are new smiley requests anyway though and even campaigns for them. Eg There's a campaign page and thread here: A4084977 + F2118817?thread=645062

However, since some new smileys have only just been added to the system after a long gap, it may be a while before any more are added. There's also no guarantee that your preference would be among them.

There's a sort of seahorse picture here: A667820 (though probably not suitable for you and can't be used as a smiley).

Thank you for looking SEF. It was a different sort of seahorse I was looking for. More of a seahorse that swims in the sea type of seahorse. I might be able to find one somewhere else on BBC.

That article was interesting though, especially as I am interested in mental health and do remember visiting Witty Moniker's page the last time I was here.

Thank you

There is a lovely picture of a seahorse

here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/outdoors/nature/2004/seahorses.shtml

How would I go about including that picture in something I wanted to write?

You aren't meant to include other people's pictures without their permission and, from the credits on that page, it looks as though the BBC may have limited permission (and perhaps even be paying royalties) to show it - which would be a problem were you to reproduce it on your page too.

Traveller in Time smiley - tit sometimes finding weird links over the BBC
"We can include links to other BBC pages, they can make links to us.

When including a link to their page you can use the picture as clickable link. smiley - erm That way we generate visitors for the other site.

I did it with The Dodo, it came through Peer Review, with the image.

Another problem is that HooToo is extremely stable compared to any other site. "

What exactly do you mean by 'my' page? It was possibly going to be something about seahorses that would stay within h2g2 smiley - headhurts

When you create the page it is under your account name on h2g2. That nominally makes it "your" page.

Were you then to put it through PeerReview, it either would or wouldn't get a picture of its own; but it wouldn't normally keep a picture borrowed from somewhere else on the BBC site (though some BBC archive photos have been used for things). It would then end up as a page which wasn't yours to edit any more.
