I know what you mean, Lentilla. Long long ago I lived in El Paso. Now there's a place that has no clue how to handle snow. On the rare occasions when it happened everything shut down and I think the city council probably considered calling Ft. Bliss for backup..
Welcome Araven! I'm in Charlotte. Only one in Charlotte that I know of. Really kind of sad since when I was in NYC a bunch of us researchers could get together at the drop of a hat (any hat) and do a pub crawl.

Hey we're slowly building up a small armY! THE SOUTH WILL...er... go out for drinks and stuff again... LOL Of course, Florida is part of the south the same way California is part of the old west.

Castro's front yard?
Weellup... Big Bend is now an edited entry. I'd like to see more entries about national and state parks... If anybody feels the urge, I'd be glad to help - if I know anything about the park, that is.

Thanks!
Yeah, that's what I kept saying - I'll get around to it. It was one of the first articles I ever planned to write here on h2g2, and what did I spend my time on? Articles about margarine and medical quackery... hm, go figure!

Neat-o. Hey, I'm going to the Gettysburg reinactment sometime in July. I can't wait. Although, I still need more info from my step-dad who's planning the thing.

I went to a reinactment once. Completely by accident. Was driving around the country with my camera & saw signs. I stumbled into the French & Indian War. They had extra clothes so I changed & then ate dinner.

Thankfully, they weren't using live ammo.

Did you end up with a tomahawk stuck in your vehicle's fender?

No. The battle was pretty much over by the time I got there. They were more interested at that point in telling me about how many times they were 'killed' and who they knew that would be in "The Patriot".
