*studies own reflection in gleaming chrome cylinder head covers*
*wonders if it's absolutely necessitatem to shave this morning*
*realises that there is no distinction between essence and existence*
*thinks:...i'm tired of cheating, and wasting my head
and filling the bosses bags with bread,
the world is large and i've got time yet
and by the way, thanks for that ...cigarette*

Hey all! Heard there's a problem with the reasoning generator...
*Reason Generator goes from "That is a well planned and logical idea" to "Jerry Springer is God!"*
Huh? Did I do that...

(brings over aftershave lotion - Eu de Macho - and a face towel that has 'Holiday Inn' on one side.)
Can you fix the Reason Generator? It seems to have affected the computers in Sickbay as well. It keeps telling me the best way to help a toothache is to whack the patient with a two-by-four. Mild cut? Sprinkle lemon juice on the wound. Hiccups? Lobotomy.
After a few such off suggestions I caught on. But the other crewmen seem to be avoiding me.

oh, alec, could you do us all a favour and supply hati's greenhouse with some artificial sunlight while we are below sea level (20.000 metres atm)?

*Walks out. The generator fixes itself. Returns, and it goes mad again.*
Ah. It seems I'm a Non-localised Unexplicable Truly and Totally Exasperating Radiator... I'd better stay out of the generator room.
*Leaves again, but sits in the hall so he can still chat without damaging the systems.*

*points to the backlog*
...something for you to read whilst you're sitting here.
and do try not to block the corridor with that nail-gun.
*starts centrifuge up so he can clean the contents of the
wisdom reserve tanks.*
*watches through the clear plastic tubing, as
"There are no facts, only interpretations"
makes its way back to the clean wisdom tank, but
"All truths are only half-truths"
ends up in the used-wisdom
tank (for discharge into a recognised re-cycling and disposal facility)

Intriguing. Is this the backup steam engine, which runs on methane? And I do believe this tubing is made of plant fiber.

...er, no...the backup steam engine, runs on :
STEAM
and the clear plastic tubing is in fact made of...
clear plastic.

*polishes shiny chrome cylinder-head covers in anticipation*
*oils the wheels of the 'slap-on' rollaway steel punch cabinet,
and checks the 'shackleton' compartment for ice*
I think i just saw Captain Piper lurking around, so better look
*busy*
