*wolf whistle can be heard done the chute*

Alec, are you there? Could do with a camera on this thing, then I could see if you were there or not!

Have you heard about the party for Light on Monday? Its her birthday, held jointly with 10/8.

I have got some very pretty smiley - fairy lights, but Kheldar has suggested some moving light thingys to hold them up. Any ideas?

Oh, by the way, you are invited and if you venture up to the bar you can pick up an invite from Light.

*alec emerges from diamond plate hatch in generator room floor, hauls up boxes of tools, bits of old piping...lunchbox...flashlight...pages of schematics, maps of all the unseen parts of this mighty vessel*

hello Caerwynn...sorry, i've been working down in the machinery spaces, trying to clear the backlog pumps...you would not believe some of the stuff that gets stuck in theresmiley - skull...i've been working on a treatment system to feed it into the ships generators...smiley - steam
...there must be some good use for all that hot air.

Now, what i need is ...*opens 'slap-on'rollaway steel punch cabinet, selects two ice-cold bottles of Kalik*

Care to join me?smiley - cheers

I will certainly be at the party on Monday, although later on as i've got some maintenance records to catch up on.
Any lighting you need, i've got boxes of smiley - fairylights left over from when this used to be the Felixstowe-Zeebrugge ferry.(Don't worry, she has been seriously moderated since then)
You can plug them into any of the conveniently located GFCI outlets with the waterproof covers on the masts.

As for supporting them with 'moving light thingys'...i haven't the slightest idea what K means...shouldn't be too difficult to hang them somewhere on the frigging rigging though, and if tropical storm Charlotte comes close i think they will move around quite nicely don't you ?
smiley - ermi suppose that Cap'n Pershing does know that this IS the middle of the hurricane season doesn't he ??
smiley - erm*...ready for another one of these beers?smiley - biggrin

Don't worry about those hurricanes, Alec. We can always beam up or submerge or something. This is a versatile vessel, you know. Just keep us supplied with enough energy, okay?

yes... the sails can get a bit wet...and they've got to remember to stuff something down the business end of every cannon.
Personally i prefer to stay at sea level, but if Cap'n Percy wants to use the underwater drives, that's fine with me.

Here's a pack of AA's Kes...let me have the old ones tho'...i can recharge them.*almost taps nose then remembers existing insert.*

How's the nose by the way?
