had asked me, I would have said
that it is harder to write a good funny
song than it is to write a good serious song.
I once spent a good two months trying to write 365 song for a page a day calender. I wrote 365 horrible titles and then I sat down and wrote 365 horrible songs. I don't think there is a gem among them, although I must admit it's been a few months since I looked. The publisher I sent them to rejected it because there was no tie-in to anything currently popular.
Their loss.
