Admiral is on the decline as well. Sad but true. One of my fave Mexican restaurants is between Admiral & Pine on Lewis. I don't go by myself.

Can't think of which one that might be...
If they're still open La Nortena at about 65th/Peoria is authentic northern mexican (not texmex) and Guadalajara at 31/Garnett is also really good...

Costa Azul -- I'll have to see if the ones you mentioned are still open.

Ahem...
The author of this entry doesn't seem to be around. That means that if it gets accepted, a sub-editor will have to make any changes needed. Since there seem to be a few of you posting here who've actually been to Tulsa, could you make it clearer which comments you want added to the entry, and which are just general chat? There seems to be the makings of a good entry here, but if the points that need improving don't get sorted out, it might end up sitting here without getting picked.
If you said something like:
Please add the sentence '......' to the second paragraph.
or
Please change '......' to '......'
or any other definite changes, it might make the entry easier to edit.

Since the author doesn't appear to be here, can I volunteer to be the sub-ed for this piece? I live in the Tulsa area and have a lot of ideas for material to be added or changed in the piece.

Emee you have to be a sub-editor with the site for that.
I would suggest Michele sub-ed this, as she lives in KC, which isn't far away, and may have been to Tulsa (though I have no idea if she has been).
You might want to volunteer to be a sub-ed. I'm sure they can use the help.

I just checked Michele's page and she doesn't have a sub-ed badge. Either she's no longer a sub-ed or (more likely) I imagined the whole thing...

Emee,
You can work on this entry if you want, without applying to become a sub-Editor. If you create a new entry of your own, and copy and paste this entry into it, you can work on it as much as you like.
Just add the author's number as a co-author for the entry - it will show up for the moment as written by them and edited by you. Then you can either submit the joint entry to Peer Review again, with a note to say that it's an improved version of this one, or post the entry number of the new improved version in this thread.
Good Luck - it'd be great to get the revisions in from someone who really knows the area.

yesyes, and definatly from someone who has been actually aware of the area, and is currently there! heh... as opposed to someone who only lived there for the first 18 years of their life and really didnt pay much attention.

So what's the current status on this one? Is the original author still wanting to pursue Peer Review? (I'm pretty sure he's still around, so this isn't an AWOL kind of thing).
If not, and if Emee (or whoever else) wants to take it on, the best bet is for the thread to be moved out of PR. Then somebody can make a new copy, work from that one (making sure to credit the original author for their bits), and submit the new one to PR.

Don't look at me... I only stopped there for a decade or so before going on to NYC.. I do need to go back though. Visit friends, eat at Elmers, etc...

That sounds good. How do I move this from PR?

I think you need to get one of the italics to do it.

I'll put in an email on it, since the original author doesn't seem to be responding....

I don't know if anyone's noticed, but Anna's put this entry into the Flea Market, so hopefully Emee can claim it.
One thing - can we change the title to Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA? Those two-letter state codes are pretty incomprehensible to those outside the USA...
