Tangoing

1 Conversation

Nobody can Tango like Tristan Brightman. But then again nobody's tried.
The Tango is a dance that has no clear origin. The Agentines claim it as one of theirs, but if so, what is Argentine Tango and why is it different? More to the point, why is it then not a Latin American dance, or has Argentina sailed away in recent years?
The Tango is full of jerks. That's not to say anything about the people who dance it; it's just a dance with several short, abrupt movements. A good Tangoer can break his partner's neck with the first switch. A very good Tangoer can only make it feel like it's broken.
The best music to Tango to is 'Please Mr Brown'. The best place to Tango is at Bristol University Ballroom Dancing Society. And the best thing to do after a (good) Tango is to visit the A&E at the local hospital immediately.
