This is an all together fine effort! I think the subject is covered appropriately for the guide. Any quibbles I might have are with formatting and they are sooooo tiny, that I don't even want to mention them (they are personal preference, my personal preference.)

As a side comment, my wife suffers from migranes. He doctor showed here a picture and asked her if her visual experiences were similar. They were.

The picture had been drawn by an artist who also suffed from migranes. It turns out that these pictures were key in diagnosing these types of migranes. Have you been shown any such pictures?

Thanks Barton - I hope that any formatting glitches will be magically fixed by the sub-eds if ever this gets picked smiley - sadface. After all - they need to do something to the entries to make them feel useful - if each entry was perfect they'd just get bored!smiley - smiley

Yes - I've seen such pictures. There's some, for instance in Oliver Sach's excellent book 'Migraines' and it's very weird to see them. (For anyone who has not seen or experienced these, they tend to be crescents or teardrop shapes of flashing, coruscating light.) However visual disturbances are quite rare for me - maybe once every two years - and they must be about the least painful type of migraine that I get! Funny business....

This article is amazing!

I was actually readin an article in the zine Head about a particularly debilitating form called (and dont quote me on this) auto-kinetic synaesthesia in which people asociate a bodily position with another sense .. ie certain sounds and colours etc make people contort into various shapes. It has also been associated with certain native dances as well.

Great Work!

smiley - blush Thanks beeblefish, for recommending this. It's easy to forget, when scouting, the drooling gratitude that you feel when going through the system yourself. It also proves that i should get off my butt and write more entries. Thanks again - much appreciated - smiley - star
