But the new ones so much more fun looking? I guess I see your point though as the old ones were more amusing as they didn't look overly impressive and then you sat in one and it was kind of "woaaaah" (technical car speak smiley - winkeye ) whereas the new ones look really aggressive too but then they are virtually identical to the Rally class Subarus...

*grins*
Elans? Nah they're too pointy and triangular at the front, the Elise is better as it's much smoother but the new Elise has reverted to the harsh lines so I'm less impressed with that...especially as it looks so much like the VX220 smiley - smiley

I got over wanting a GT40 earlier this year by actually passengering in one, they are so unbelievably quick but equally possibly the most uncomfortable cars ever smiley - winkeye

Thinks I'll go to bed. 3.20am-type evil thoughts are crossing my mind, like talking about golf in this forum and Subarus in the Places to Stay forum smiley - devil I am quite a tired cake, though. Sleep well.

Having just read the backlog of conversation about... cars, was it? I can safely say I understood very little.

But 80s music... I always remember "The Only Way Is Up" (though that was probably early 90s) and the theme to Beverly Hills Cop!

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Were they talking about cars?
I read the backlog and it made little sence to me smiley - yikes but hay, there was some really attrocious 80's music, just a pity it was bettered by the efforts of the 90's, and looks about to be bettered, or should that be worstened again, by the pitiful attempts of the 00's?

BOTH Elises? I'm v. jealous, and I'm now feeling distinctly short on cars, owning just the one Elise...

So, which do you prefer driving?

smiley - tongueout In our imaginary world we have shiny fast cars, besides you already knew I had the Subaru and the TVR...it was just the Ferrari I was keeping a secret from yousmiley - winkeye

*reads backlog*
It makes perfect sense to me? OOoh the old landrovers are so good, the proper ones that are actually designed to be used off road rather than to drive to Tesco's once a week are such fun smiley - smiley

Oh and Mr T "The Only Way Is Up" was played last Saturday and I don't recall seeing you dancing to it...that could be because I was busy dancing myself but I suspect it's because you weren't dancing smiley - winkeye

Oo! Which Ferrari?

*wonders whether to mention that Belinda Carlisle's 'Heaven is a Place on Earth' was played specially for him at the wedding he went to last weekend. Wisely decides against it*

*trundles up in an MG TF*

In much the same way as I can remember the kids at school playing chopsticks but I wouldn't care to dance to it if I heard it again. Mind you, some of the stuff I do like I doubt I'd be able to dance to, regardless of whether I want to dance to it. Bruebeck's music for example - do you need two and a half legs to dance to that? smiley - smiley
