Just done a search using my favourite search engine (other search engines are also avaliable) and found the gmpte website (try a few varients of the usual website bits arounf that).
It seems that there is a direct bus service from Picadilly bus station (note it's a few minutes walk from picadilly train station) to the Trafford Centre by bus 250. Don't know if there are any others but that one will work.

Do you mean meet for bowling whilst the shops are still open? We could miss valuable window shopping in that time smiley - winkeye

As an addition to Amy's comments, for those of us who are male, that should be before, during and after the retail experience.

No, no. I meant we should meet at a time that allows for adequate shopping to take place. I imagined that the bowling would take place after the shops were shut.

Um... yeah. I'd like to stay in that shop with the swinging sign outside, which has tables to sit at and where the counter is called a "bar".

The more the merrier, Granny. Fascinating knick-knacks might hold my attention for a bit, but a smiley - ale is likely to do so for longer.

We have to bowl straight? In that case you'd better book two lanes for me, one for me to roll the ball down the other for the ball to end up in...
