Alchohol at football matches is not allowed to be drunk 'in sight of the pitch'
This doesn't apply to any other game (rugby, cricket etc)
What does this say about football fans?

I wasn't allowed to take a case of Red Stripe lager into Old Trafford for a test between England and the West Indies a few years ago ... I don't know if you are allowed by now?
