Yeah right, keep telling yourself its true. Not quite sure about your logic though - because one team keeps winning the top league its boring. The only difference between United and Arsenal, Chelsea, Leeds and Liverpool (possibly Ipswich, Sunderland) is consistency - the ability to win when not playing so well. If Fulham weren't getting promoted this season then wouldn't they win it again? The fact is that league places don't really lie, honestly. The best clubs are in the Premiership and the quality of football is better. That's not to say that lower division football isn't exciting and interesting just not at the same skill level.

Gosh! A thread named after me... smiley - blush
I do actually have mixed feelings about my Bradford boys' imminent return to the Nationwide. I'm not going to pretend that I'm pleased City's season has gone the way it has; every fan wants to see their team do well.
But I'm looking forward to next season, and some of the things I'm looking for have to do with the differences between the Premiership and the Nationwide League. The admission prices for City's games will be much more affordable, so I'll be able to go to our away games at places like Burnley, Preston, Barnsley, Sheffield (x2) and hopefully Manchester City.
There will be more games - 46 league games instead of 38. If you support a Premiership team that isn't playing in Europe and gets knocked out of the FA Cup early, you end up with a lot of free weekends during the season - and no true footie fan likes those.
And finally - yes - we'll be playing in a league where the top two teams aren't quite so numbingly predictable! Maybe we might be in that top two. We can dream again! smiley - ok

How can you call my team "numbingly predictable"? Did you not see or hear about last Saturday's events? At least we set some kind of record which I doubt will ever be equalled in English football! Two Brasilians scoring in one match? For the other team? I just burst out laughing when the second one went in it was soooooo weird!

Sorry, that was badly phrased.
What I meant was that the IDENTITIES of the top two teams are numbingly predictable - i.e. I'm kicking myself for not having a bet at the start of the season that the Gooners would finish as runners-up to ManUre. But I guess the odds would have been pretty short...
As for that Arsenal-'Boro game - well, yes, that certainly wasn't predictable! I wonder if any other team has ever had two goal attempts on target in a game and won 3-0?

I think the odds might be considerably longer next season given the improvement in some other teams relative to Arsenal - what we need now is for us, Liverpool, Leeds, Chelsea and Ipswich smiley - winkeye to actually play to our full potential against ManUre. Now that would make for an interesting season (especially if those teams can get play consistently well all season)
May the best team win (especially if they cone from London N5 smiley - winkeye)

What odds would I get for Leeds United to win the Champions Cup this season AND the Premiership next season?
