I've never heard of sXe, but straight edge is pretty well known where I'm from. It's by no means popular or common, but 4/5 people would know what you meant if you told them. I guess this is because punk is pretty big here (at least i think it is--i know of 4 places within 30 minutes of me that have shows atleast once a weekend, in four different cities), and lots of the punk/hardcore/posicore etc bands are good. The people i know that are straight edge go by xxx instead of sXe, but i'm not incredibly into it, just someone who happens to live that way and heard about it from someone else.

Thanks for that. I'll add a note about "xxx" next time I can be bothered!
Just out of interest, how did you come accross this entry?

Welcome to h2g2 hutz xxx. To get the most out of h2g2 you need to put something (ANYTHING the alphabet or just one character) in your 'Space'. Do that and you will get some friendly advice from an h2g2 member

Don't be like that B M M T! Our ACEs do a great job and are working under great pressure at the moment trying to cope with the HUGE influx of Newbies. I am just trying to be friendly to them all

I got an email from someone that had a link to an article about a tournabout somewhere in the UK, which is how I found the site originally. I was bored and clicking around and somehow ended up on sea's page, where I saw the sXe thing and thought 'hey thats pretty interesting--never saw it written that way' and looked around alittle more and ended up here
