Rodomontade: (adj). Descriptive of certain breeds of cattle in which the legs on one side are shorter than those on the other. Such cattle are highly prized for mountainside mustering competitions because of their ability to run continuously around the sides of mountains.

rodomontade (adj) (Addition to previous def.): is also used in the context of combine harvesters, in which case it denotes that they can adapt their wheel suspension in the same manner, so they don't topple over when working a hillside.

Rodomontade (n.) The Sceptre or Staff used by the chief whip in early Gaelic rituals. Montade was the generic name for the Chief Whip, hence the Rod of Montade.
