h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I don't really know why, but I always think lists look more impressive when you put them in alphabetical order. I suppose for one thing it shows that it doesn't repeat itself. Anyway, I figured the list of Zaphodistas would look better like that, so I've sorted - you can see the result at http://www.h2g2.com/A588602 (that's http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A588602 if we're not allowed to use the old .com address).
Having done the first 187 (yep, that's how many we are!), it should be easy to keep them in order (and keep count!).
If you like, I'll keep it up - either redirect people to join there, or give me a list of names every now and then. It's the least I can do to help a good cause...

Thanks. I'll give a link to the alphabetical list next time I update (maybe Sunday or Monday). But I still want to keep that list on the main Zaphodista page, because it gives roughly the chronological order of which people signed up first.

We usually get two or three people joining each week. Do you want me to email you occasionally when I update it, so you can add them to the alphabetical list?

Okay, I put up the link to the alphabetical listing. One more suggestion. When you update the alphabetical roll-call in future, could you just mention the date somewhere on that page? It's not a big deal, but it will prevent eager young newcomers from asking "Where's my name? Why isn't my name up yet?"

I also need to put a link from the Library of Zaphodista Propaganda and Guide ML Codes to your page so people can get that alphabetized version of the drop-down box.

You're right -- it does look nice! We need some new members with names that start with Q!
