It's not that simple: it is different if you eat an apple or if you eat the same amount on vitamin c the apple would contain, provided with a pill, because the apple contains a lot more ingredients, allowing the human body to digest the vitamin most efficiently (for example, fibres which stimulate the production of antacid).
