There's a lot of extraneous chatter in here guys. Think of your poor leader trying to make sense of it all.

::Thinks of Clive trying to make sense of all this::
Babble, babble, chatter, talk, talk, talk, talk, chatter, babble, babble, babble, mummble, grumble, silence------
Babble BABBLE babble, gibber, gibber, babble, talk, speech.
There. Much better.

1) What made you join h2g2?
I found h2g3 pre-Rupert when I went looking for an online translator. I used Altavista's Bablefish and found the link. Then followed Rupert. Post-Rupert involved a lot of lurking until I found the Thingites and decided I wanted to post in one of the conversations.
2) What made you join the Thingites?
I haven't officially joined yet. I haven't thought up an appropriately grandiose title. I'll join as soon as I do. Still, that hasn't stopped me from posting to the Thingite conversations.
3) How did you hear about the Thingites?
They were on the Front Page under the busiest conversations list.
4) Do you use the Thingite names for the days of the week outside h2g2?
No. *sigh* None of the people I know understand the concept of h2g2, let alone new names for days of the week.
5) Do you know how many different Nationalities are members of the Thingites?
Lots.
6) What do you think of all the romances which have sprung up through the Thingites club?
7) What do you think of your affiliation to the Sporkites?
I’m not affiliated with the Sporkites. I’m sure they’re lovely people, but they like spam more than I do.
8) Have you ever attended an h2g2 Meet?
No.
9) Do you always stick to just Thingite fora and topics or do you freely roam h2g2?
I roam.
10) Do you read The Post?
Yes. On Poets

Thank you to all who participated in this little poll - the list is now closed so that I can use the information gleaned here to grill your leader.

Actually, I've heard ostrich tastes like steak.

Lady Scott Posted Feb 28, 2003
I've seen ostrich jerkey at the grocery store... and I think they occasionally have some fresh or frozen ostrich meat too...

Clive, if ostrich meat tasted like mesquite chicken, you'd have quite a conundrum, wouldn't you?
